Gandhi understood better than anyone what Jesus was trying to say. It's only the narrow warped view of twisted preachers who claim being a Christianity is the only way to heaven. Gandhi was so far above them, like a bird flying over pig feces.

What does it mean that the all-powerful, all-loving God said we couldn't get back into heaven, but then he started to miss us after drowning most of us. He's in charge of heaven, of course, but for some reason he couldn't just start leting us in. He had to incite humans to slaughter a son who made with an earth maiden (just like ZEUS!) so we could slide into heaven on his blood.
That's a pretty creepy and stupid story when you think about it.
Besides, jesus said the kingdom of heaven is within you. I assume it was within Gandhi, too.

Mahatma Gandhi is above all our narrow thinking.He believed in Jesus Christ also.He is a saint.

Don't take religion literally, it is meant as a metaphor. The basic important trait that should be inside of you is compassion, if you have that, you are on the correct path. The icing you put on that cake won't change the flavor.
