Okay the world is constantly changing and I'm a girl who believes in being honesty and most girls are. I feel that guys should be honest it makes things alot more easy so. Why do guys lie? I'm the type of girl who would rather a guy say yeah I like u but I just want to have sex! Then a guy play me for as long as it might take before with have sex and then bounce. Give me answers people cuz I dont know. And yes I do know either way I'll be hurt but the pain wont last long if we didn't build on anything. So again I ask WHY LIE?

ive found out lately that just getting things in the open makes everything a lot easier. if the relationship is light going and open its easier to be honest and such...but sometimes there is tension in a relationship, and we (guys) feel like we need to say whatever it is to please you (women). there are some idiots that dont think of the consequences of what they say (majority of guys) but there are the ones that lie, because they 'honestly' just dont want to hurt the girl there are in a relationship with.

Well its not just guys. I just dated a girl for 4 months, who apparently told me lies in the beginning because she didn't think things would get serious and she thought I would like her more.
Then she had to tell more and more lies to maintain her original stories. Then she fell for me and I started figuring out her stories so she had this big 'telling the truth' thing, but by then it was way too late and i left her over the lies.
The Irony is she lied about things so that I would like her more, when in the end the only thing I didn't like was the lying.

In situations like this, people tend to lie because they feel that saying the truth or being honest won't get them what they want or it will be a disadvantage.

excuse me, according to research books, they all conclude that women love liars. for eg, which would u prefer A: 'sorry dear, i will never afford u a diamond ring, forget it. or B:' if i get a promotion, i will buy u a diamond ring'. u are women, u like liars, its in ur genes. so if u really hate lies, u gotta avoid a guy the moment u know he lie. that way, u will be safe. but i hardly doubt u can even love a pathetic nerd guy who cant lie, to a scarecrow.
