I am not sick, i'm just moving to Vegas and the air here is so dry that my throat hurts. I am going to get a humidifier already. Any other suggestions?

keep hard candy and lozenges with you. Also get yourself some saline spray for your sinuses and drink plenty of fluids.
I spend a lot of time riding in the desert and dry climates and this always helps me.
the humidifier is a good idea for your house, you can also look into a misting system for your yard if you own your home or rent a house rather than an apartment.

Make some hen soup(no longer out of a equipment or can) purchase some raw hen products and boil prepare dinner them products in some water. Your making soup from scratch. at the same time as it really is boiling upload different stuff, like a handful of rice, macaroni, frozen veges, clean veges, spice, salt. the important component is the hen and boil it into the mixture. I easily have tossed in drumsticks and cooked them till the beef falls off the bone honestly into the soup. After simmering for an hour or so,(searching on your volume)must be able to eat. hen soup does help colds, sore throats, nasal blockages.

There is a spray (over the counter) that might help. It's called Oasis, and it will be in the pharmacy section of your local store (at least it is in Walmart). My business partner and I use it when we are singing, and it works pretty well for a dry throat.

Keep water or something non alcoholic to drink with you until your body adjusts to the climate.

I had that problem while detatched to Las Vegas last year for a month. It's the constant temperature/moisture change brought on by air con/hot dry atmosphere outside (I worked outside mostly). I had dried bloody mucous in my nose regularly too (bogies/boogers/nose goblins/whatever), (from the grains of sand). Plenty of water and boiled sweets did the trick for me. Try that.

Drink more water. And I'm not being sarcastic here. I grew up in Tucson, AZ, and living there I just learned to drink lots of fluids because it's so dry. I know it seems like common sense, but I know people who came to Tucson from Florida and ended up in the hospital with dehydration because they simply weren't used to the dry heat.

Take a spoon and put honey on it then add a litle bit of lime/lemon. Put it over the stove so it could melt alittle, but not to hot that you cant eat it. Than stirr alittle and eat. I had this problem in a dry city too.

Suck on hard candy, especially sour ones like lemon drops. That will help you produce natural saliva and eventually your mouth will get used to it. It took me about 2 months when I move from FL to AZ.
