Where is the value in a good salesperson if you're getting worked over on the price? That salesperson might be good, but remember that he's there to do one thing and one thing only, sell you a car. Once you're gone, he knows that the likelihood of you buying from him again is very slim because either A) You'll get a different brand, different dealership or B) he'll have moved on to another job somewhere else.

Keep in mind that the vehicle you buy loses value the minute you drive it off the lot. How much value depends on the price you paid.

Well I am a salesperson in a dealership and I will say that I have had several customers switch over to me because they like my personality better. I am honest to my customers and I will remember them every time they come in and see me. I have had several of my past customers come in a buy from me a second and a third time. If you can trust your sales person, trust they will give you the best buy possible. I like my customers and I am pretty sure that they like me. I am sad that that can't be true about all sales people out there. But just keep looking you will find a sales person that you can trust.

Best price, however if the salesman is nice or desperate he'll try to give you a good price.

If it's an awesome price, I can sit through a jerk. I don't expect much out of salespeople anyway. I won't buy an overpriced car from anyone.
