Its every muslim duty to persuade the person there with to come over to there belief. I know this as I was married to a muslim and there faith they are told to continue teaching muslim to the non muslims and be persistant..

However i can tell you by expereince. a non muslim going into a marriage is very difficult . And even more of a difficult from the muslim family the husband will not let on but once your married the husband family will be very hard on you and treat you as an outsider if you are not muslim. Also once your married for some reason the men in there relgion are accountable more to god than the woman there belief is the man is judge more harshly as he i suppose to have more of a brain than the woman and less weak there fore any sins he does is that much more severe. So with that being said the men control the lives more of the women in the marriage saying if its not done this way they will be punished from god more severely and its expected you follow what they put down.

So before you lay down and get married to one do a lot of research on this they have a book out for non muslims entering a marriage wish i had read that before i got married. Its not for the faint at heart there very truthful and show you many difficulites.. But if your the type that can be easily pursuaded and a yes person or a simple minded person who may last in this type of religion. If your strong minded or have your own opinions this is not a good match.
