I am non-denominational Christian.
God's name is Jesus.
Blood transfusions are fine. It is a creation of God.
Dress - Not really, but we should honor the Lord with our bodies and therefore dress is a way that is appropriate, so being promiscuous is not Godly.
Book of Revelation says there will be a new Earth, which is essentially heaven.
Anything can be consumed. For even Jesus said "Nothing outside a man can make him 'unclean' by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him 'unclean.'" (Mark 7:15). This means that it is our hearts that can be corrupt but what we consume is irrelevant. That said, it also says we must obey the government in the Bible so that means we can't use any illegal substances.
Hope that helps! Feel free to ask me any other questions and I'll try to help.

I belong to the largest and oldest Christian denomination: Roman Catholicism. I believe it is God's divine providence who has made the Catholic Church the largest Christian denomination because it IS the source of truth. Many people critisize my faith for some corruptions of individuals and blame the whole Church. There are many misunderstandings about my faith as you probably have experienced on yours.
** Do a small experiment. Look up in the encyclopedia the denominations that you have questions about. As you look them up notice the date they were created and by whom. You will discover the truth. The Apostle Paul tells us there is no other Gospel than the one. He also tells us that the faith is not of man but God, Jesus Christ. See what you discover when you look up the Denominations in the Encyclopedia. Even the secular world testifies to the truth; the Roman Catholic Church was founded by Jesus Christ whose teaching authority was passed down by apostolic succession to the current day. **
God's name? Jesus Christ, Immanuel, I AM, etc.
I do believe in blood transfusions. By doing so you are doing a charitable act (act of love) by saving life.
There are Catholics who follow a "modest" dress code which is proper for virtuous living as a Christian. Many do not because of social pressures and habit (bad).
My faith refers to the spiritual life that is different from the physical in many ways. For instance, the apostles could see and touch Jesus after resurrecting but Jesus could walk thru doors and be at several places at once. So, it is something we need to ponder upon.
There are no restrictions on what food or drink can be consumed. There is on the amount. Gluttony or drunkeness is evil and my faith requires we be moderate in all things.
I use the Catechism of the Catholic Church and a Catholic Dictionary to help discern certain truths and explain the faith.
The apostle Paul writes, “And every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47) When the Sanhedrin were contemplating what to do with the apostles Gamaliel gave sound advice: If what they have planned and done is of human origin, it will disappear, but if it comes from God, you cannot possibly defeat them. You could find yourselves fighting against God! (Acts 5:38-39)
If you have any more questions I would enjoy sharing the word with you. You seek the truth and I would like to explore it with you.
Ben

I use Britannica and a good concordance. They are GREAT to help with bible studies.God's personal name is Jehovah, in our language anyways. No I don't believe in blood transfusions because God forbids us to eat blood, and regardless of what one believes, going through your vein is the same thing. Dress code, not sure about. I do know that you should at least be clean. Yes I think God's kingdom will be right here on earth. Jesus spoke of nothing but the kingdom of God.
I have no set religion. I am one who has studied the bible for over 18 years now.
But I do know who you are studying with and you will learn alot from them. Just one thing, study the truth for yourself. You need a helper to explain things, but in the end, read the bible and see for yourself. Good Luck and God Bless

I have been raised Wesleyan. I do not agree totally with them, but I agree with them a great deal and I am very comfortable attending their church.
Studying the Bible: for just studying the Bible, a Commentary is good. It can also be helpful to read multiple translations of the Bible. I also read "Spiritual Leadership" by J. Oswald Sanders(Moody Press); "Celebration of Discipline," an excellent book, by Richard J. Foster, who is a Quaker(HarperSanFrancisco); "God is Here" by Steve Case(Relevant Books); and "Hearts on Fire: Praying with Jesuits" ed. by Michael Harter SJ(Catholic book)(The Institue of Jesuit Sources)
God's name is Yahweh, and he also calls Himself "I Am." Some confusion developed about His name because Ancient Hebrew scribes only wrote the consonants of His name to make sure that they did not accidently disgrace his full name. Most modern scholars agree that his full name is Yahweh.
Blood transfusions are good. They help save peoples lives. I see nothing that says God condemns it, and nothing makes it immoral. "It's not what goes into a man that makes him unclean"-Jesus
Modest dress is encouraged, I live in a College town, and the older people tend towards the suits while the students drift more towards dreans and modest tee-shirts.
The Kingdom of God will be on the New Earth. Wether that means that refers to heaven, a transformation of the current world, or a new world, I am not quite sure. We believe that we are to prepare for Jesus to Come, not argue about what He will do after that.
Wesleyans abstain from all drinking. This is because the Bible commands us not to be drunk, and if we don't even drink there will be no chance for us to get drunk. I do not know of anyone in my congregation that considers drinking a sin, but it would be considered proper to abstain from it if you join a Wesleyan Congregation.
Another important thing about my Denomination that you did not ask about is Communion. The Wesleyan Church practices Open Communion, which means that you do not need to be Wesleyan to partake, but you do need to be Christian. In other words, we do not believe that our denomination has a monopoly on heaven, but we o believe that the only way to heaven is through Christ.

To start I am a druid within a celtic belief system. God has no one name nor is there one "God". There is a hierchy of the gods and goddesses but no one god is over another. They all have their specialty and those who follow them.
There is no specific rules on how one should dress that I am aware of for everyday living. That is usually governed by society itself. However, there is a basic guideline on what to dress in for worship......... though there is no true wrong in doing what you want. They just suggest you wear loose clothing for different reasons.
To my knowlege there is no "kingdom" to mention. However there are many different "Halls" that reside in a higher and lower plain. Though because there is a higher and lower plane of existance it doesn't mean there is a "hell" where you are punished. Merely these are where your soul will go for its brief rest while determining what your next life will offer in the way of teachings. It is also the place you go to confer with the god or goddess that you proclaim your faith to.
Also there is no "Christ" in our religion. The closest you will find is a god named Baldar. He is to be released after Ragnarok (end of the world) from the lower plane and watch over humanity in the "new world". And yes much like in christianity there is a peace that pervades the world once the final battle is over.
This is just a glimpse of what is in a single belief. For more you would have to research the prose and eddas of old germanic or tuetonic religeon.

Um, I don't study much.
But in answer to those other questions...
I'm a Christian.
1. Sweet, saving someones life.
2. I think it's just God.
3. I dress however I like.
4. I'm waiting to see how that one folds out. He says that thing about ruling earth for 1000 years so yeh then I guess we go up after that or something...
5. Drugs would be a no no in my books. Only cause of health risks, I think when God/Jesus who ever says to treat your body as a temple you should try do that and so junk food I guess is something not to consume as well...but thats just me.
Kapeesh?
Bless ya

I study from several different translations of the Bible... read Josephus (found in Christian Book stores)...the early Church Fathers and Church History. There are several good books to read and study along with the Bible.
To deny yourself the other books, as is suggested by another answer, is doing yourself a real dis-service.
Blood transfusions are perfectly fine. We don't eat it or drink it....we use it.
Everyone should dress modestly. Use good common sense.
It is not necessary to wear suit and tie or dresses to church.
The Kingdom of Heaven is not something in the future. It exists right now.
No regulations on consuming foods or drink except you're not supposed to get drunk.
When looking for books to read, find a Catholic Book store or a big chain book store and get a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and learn what the Church really teaches and believes. I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
I also got a look at your 360. You would also profit enormously at the Church's teaching on "Redemptive Suffering". Please seek out and study that. It will benefit you and the rest of us along with you. God Bless.

The true god of the Bible has gone down in history under many names, ie., Jesus Christ, Jehovah, I am, Alpha and Omega, Immanuel, ext.
There are regulations on dress code, but as far as blood tranfusion, god said the life is in the blood, so tranfusion is saving lives and god likes that,
I have no denomination. God is God and to understand him you have to read every thing in the KJV and compare scripture with scripture. Not man made traditions.
