Oscar Meier packages one as being a "frank" and the other as being a "weiner". I have no idea what the difference is.

Frankfurters are from Germany and are usually made from pork. Wieners (comes from Wiener Wurst (latter meaning sausage) and are from Vienna in Austria. Traditionally eaten with a bread roll and medium hot mustrad.
