As a transvestite, I have pondered this for a very long time. Thirty years in fact! Since I was five years old and got the urge to dress up.
I've often wondered what makes me have the desire to dress in a 1950s' pencil skirt (back vent), black heels and don a wig. I don't deny there is a sexual element to it, although I used to get more aroused in the past than I do now. Today, I find dressing up soothing and calming. I like to look nice, and since I am supposed to have nice legs, then what the heck!? LOL.
So then surely skirts are tailored to be sexually teasing..? Why the need for the back vent apart from easier walking...showing that bit extra leg with the step is teasing...
And the sound of the nylon underskirt makes as a lady crosses her legs and you see that vision of crossed legs in a calve length pencil skirt, accompanied with black high heels.
Very unlike a man in construction wear! LOL. Your thoughts please.

Yes, you are right. Moreover, I believe that the type of skirt you describe is more teasing than just a mini-skirt that is as short as the higest point of the vent.

I pondered that and I came to conclusion that with vent, you have the legs show and dissapear. That draws attention to them. They keep checking back how much will show next time, does she have nice legs and so on and so on. In the short skirt, legs are always exposed, all these questions are answered. On top, you better have great legs for a mini-skirt. You can have ANY legs for a pencil skirt with a vent and still look great.

But yeah, it is not possible to walk in a pencil skirt without a vent. Maybe one can walk, but cannot take stairs.

Dressing up in a sexy way can feel empowering to a woman in a male-dominated society. In some cases, it can feel disempowering. Depends on how you use your powers :-)

Traditionally they were worn by both men and women until horse riding became a means of travel and pants were created to help the rider themself. Later as men became the main rider of horses a different standard was created whereas men wore pants and ladies dresses and skirts. Fasion then took it further to eventually make such things appealing to look at and be even flirtatious without being "crude".

Ready made garments. The handiest predicament I've observed is that a dimension 8 get dressed constantly appears to be a little bit tight across the chest and shoulders however rather then that the whole thing is satisfactory.

Haha!
Sexually tempting equals confidence to the woman who knows it is so!
I believe that the more sexually alluring a woman feels, is how sexually alluring she will be in the outward perspective, making her more sexually alluring in the long run!
And the base of those feelings? Clothes that make you believe that you are sexy. Psshs, works for both men and women, no matter which gender clothes are "supposed" to be :P
Anyway, you have made a very beautiful point, and yes, they are made that way to tease you. XD
God, I get iritated when people like the first commenter can be so goddamn close-minded!

*slap*

Anyway, hugs for you.
Lovely view.

I agree, they are very sexy.
The back vent is there for walking & sitting, due to the skirt being tight to the skin.
Hope this helps.

Of course skirts are tailored to be tantalizing, but only on the right kind of body.
And don't call me Shirley.
