How is it some people I know can have dreams or nightmares, but I don't? Is it because I'm thinking too much at night or do I have dreams, but don't remember them.

Everyone has dreams but not everyone remembers them. I'm no expert but I think people who wake up suddenly (due to an alarm or other noise) remember their dreams because they are in the middle of the dream when they wake up. People who wake up naturally don't remember their dreams.

I wake up naturally about half the time and by an alarm the other half and I very rarely remember my dreams.

I don't think its anything to worry about.

I'm not sure that I believe this, but some studies have shown that people that don't dream actual do dream, but they don't remember. Researchers have woken subjects at the sleep stage where dreams occur and the subjects wake up mid-dream and remember the dream (though not always for long). I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, most dreams don't make much sense and are worth forgetting about.

Everyone dreams. Even dogs dream. People don't just usually remember them. They say that people who can remember their dreams have better memory than those who don't.

I didnt know this until a few months ago, but if you are not in a real deep sleep you dont dream. I was wondering the same thing. I wasnt sleeping good at all. Then when I started sleeping good I started dreaming again. So it is true. Sounds strange. Don't it?

Ditto to above.

If you have a B vitamin deficiency, you do not remember dreams.
This is not very likely in the United States.

I experienced the opposite effect - some high potency multi B vitamins I was taking gave me long vivid dreams which I remembered.

Sweet Dreams!

you must b lucky to have sound sleep and so you don't dream. or perhaps you don't remember your dreams. don't get too worried about it. also when u drink or very very tired u may not dream. or perhaps you don't have the luxury of tossing n turning in d morning, i mean if u r not in a hurry to get up. but dream we all do, some time or the other.
dreams r a way of reaching out to you in reminding of your inner feelings that even we may be unaware of. and you can never force yourself to dream. its perfectly normal.
