Do you know you are dieing? How was your life changed from knowing this, and what do you beleive now?

The reason why I ask this question because, I too know I will die. Yet I believe it will not be another 20-60 years from now (im 26). BEcause of that i get rapped up in a society that is fake. One more considered with money, glamour and popularity. I study the laws and ideas of man, finances and politics. But when I think what is the biggest and most important question? its always death. I thank you for your responses.

Glad to see you open your eyes to death. yes, we are all on that last path to die. since we were born.
It hasn't changed for me. I still believe I'll die, and pay taxes.

I did not know I am dying but I have undergone several surgeries and there was a possibility of dying. Every time before the surgery when I review my life, I know it was such a waste. I did not do enough good, I did not love enough people, I did not pray to Allah and worship enough, etc.
And I decide on changing once I am back on track and guess what!! I am only human!!!

honestly im glad ill die
not b/c it brings meaning to life or something like that, in fact, i totally disagree with that statemnet.
i just like to rest
on my tombstone, you may expect to see the words
rest in peace
thats all i want from death, not paradise, and certainly not damnation
the song by death cab for cutie "I will follow you into the dark" reflects many of my feeling about death
