I think Booshy could apply to white families, too. And I'm sure mine would consider me Booshy. I joke that I come from a long line of proud White trash. I try to speak well, I have cultivated interests in the arts and literature, I dress conservatively. You get the idea. It's hard for me to socialize with my family when there are family members involved with ex-convicts, baby daddies all over the place, this one mooching off that one, who got a disability claim.... I love my family, but I love who I am, too. I've worked hard to get where I am and I won't revert back to the ghetto. I keep in contact with my grandmother and a few family members, but it's mainly by phone. Sometimes you have to let go of relationships even if it's with family.

I do not have BOOSHY relatives, simply because I am white. I do however have snobby relatives that think they are better than me, and some that theink I think I am better than them.

I try to ignore their opinions, and associate with those that treat me the way I like to be treated : WITH RESPECT. (Even if I might not be as GRAND as some. LOL)
