it does? I don't think so. Cough syrup can put you into deep sleep, that's it. Perhaps some nightmares and dreams can come from a deep sleep, but they can NEVER come from cough syrup.

Most cough syrups have alcohol in them, and that is a hallucinogen

I would say because due to the alcohol in it it puts you into a deeper sleep & hence a deeper state of subconscoius where you are more apt to dream, or have nightmares?? thats my theroy anyways, the deeper your sleep the more intense your dreams

some cause vivid nightmares. it could be codiene, alcohol, other ingredients. Make a note of the name of it so you can tell your doctor you can't take it due to nightmares.

I don't know, but my friend says that everytime she takes vicodin she has the same nightmare. Weird, huh?
