my brother has 1 child (a boy- 6 years old) and makes approx $40-45000 a year, lives in north carolina, filed for bankruptcy and still has been ordered to PAY $1000 IN CHILD SUPPORT a month

my ex sister in law has remarried and always made more money than my brother, she makes at least $80000 and her new husband is the head of a mortgage company so he is probably rolling in dough. and my brother can't get his child support order lowered. can you believe that???

my nephew is now is catholic school, day care afterwards, and he has a nanny.

Child Support payments vary on how much money the payer brings in a month and if they also have their child in joint residential custody. Like your payments may vary on how good your credit is

Child support isn't a set amount, they take a perstage of your paycheck, i beleive it is between 10-15% but i could be mistaken.
