You should have emergency money saved in case the car breaks down, a major appliance falls apart or you need to take time off work due to illness. Start an automatic savings plan that takes, say, $50 out each week so you learn to not even miss it! And steer clear of impulse buying - it's a sure way to burn a hole in your pocket.

Yes it is. Money needs to first be saved for bills and then for play. If you have a hard time in saving your cash, then you have some issues with money management. Self control is hard, but if you want the good things in life then learning how to save will help you in the long run. Its OK to spend, just spend wisely and you should be OK.

as long as your making rent, food, and bills.
i dont see a big problem with it, but if something comes up then you need to have some funds in your account.
its your choice and you can change...you should try to put some of your money into savings so that you have a little to fall back on.
if your not being responsible and things are falling apart then thats a different story and it is a problem.
peace

Very big problem, but you have lots of people to keep you company (average American). Create and stick to a budget where you will allocate a certain amount of money to each area of your expenses. Figure out how much money you can save each month and make sure to stick to the budget consistently.

depends on how old you are. I am the same. I suppose you should open a fixed deposit account, that way you wont see the cash anyway. Also you could invest in savings policies.
Its up to you on what you need out of life right.

Maybe you should set up a savings account and have it so that money is put into it automatically every month?
