Why are we always looking for more, why can't we just be happy at some point on our lives?. All my friends are always looking for more, more dreams, more things, bigger homes, challenges, more more...
is it ok to be happy with what we can acomplish at some point in our lives without feeling the pressure or feeling Mediocre?

Its the greed and not know who you are through Christ. Life is only as complicated as you make it, nothing is wrong with being happy with what you have. I think life should be more simple.

The ego principle is at work in all of us. It keeps comparing you with others. No one wants to acknowledge that he is in some way inferior to his neighbors or friends. It is this competitive spirit which makes people crave for more and more.
If I ask My self do I care for my own opinion more than others and I get an answer "yes" from with in me then life becomes easier.
If I have a useful thing with me and it can serve the purpose properly and for long time i need not go in for a new one.
So to say it is your own decisions which can make you satisfied or dissatisfied. Dissatisfied people will want more and more Satisfied people remain happy.

Yes, it's ok to be content with what you have. The materialist life (in the sense you described it), is not rewarding and does not yield the happiness that is craved. They are substituting a fantasy about more lovers for genuine happiness.
Yes, the quest for possessions beyond basic comfort IS posturing for sex. Humans are not the only animals that do this.

Yes of coarse it's okay to be happy with what you have and what you've accomplished. Americans are always trying to keep up with Jones'. Studies show tha people with very little are happy with very little . Imagine having no running water. A faucet would be Shangrila. Be happy with what you have. There are a lot of people who are less fortunate.

An important component of being truly happy is to live a simple life.
You should feel confident in this fact.
Let your friends be busy acquiring things. It does not have to effect you.
