and yet, they get upset when someone portrays Jesus in a bad light, and they expect everyone to realize why they're upset? isn't that two sides of the same coin?

muslims are just plain BLATANT about it!
Such as;
"Not Jesus, but a look alike, was substituted and crucified at the Cross." -4:157
THIS IS BLASPHEMY - AND A LIE! No proof can be offered at all.
Yet they Have Eggs when we point out muslims with Shaheed Belts!

It's the reaction that bothers me.
Muslims don't just get offended. They issue religious orders (fatwa i think is the term) putting a price on the head of the individual for assasination.
They shoot nuns in the back as they run away. 6 times.
They blame the whole degradation of the prophet on Israel, Christianity, and the U.S. and promise violent retaliation - a promise they often make good on.
Now you cannot compare that to the reaction of Christians when someone tells a Jesus joke, or prints a cartoon of Jesus. The most you get out of a Chirstian is "wow. That's completely tasteless." And they might never buy that publication ever again, and tell all their friends.
So I have to admit, whenever I see video on TV of a streetful of muslims burning efigies of the American flag and swearing "death to the infidels" because somebody said something that was rude and tasteless about the prophet, I roll my eyes. I do. Complete over-reaction.

Did you actually see someone act this way or are you making this up in order to have something to say or to attack Christians? If not, may I say that Jesus Christ does not want Christians to act this way. Jesus died for all sinners. I am no better than the lost because I'm found. I'm just better off. It's a shame to see or hear of People acting this way, especially so-called Christians. They should repent and ask God to show them the love of Chist. How will the Moslems see the true light of the love of the true God in Christ if the Christians can't obey and act like Jesus told them to.

When was the last time that Christians set fire to an embassy or blew themselves up on a bus full of children or rioted in the streets when Jesus was laughed at? People make fun of Jesus a LOT more than Mohammed. I'm sure the Christians don't like it, but they don't kill people because of it. You're argument reminds me of Noam Chomsky's comparison of the US to the Middle East. It's ridiculous.

Yes but we don't go out and kill mullahs or muslims because they insulted us. I won't go and cut off a muslims head because he made fun of christianity. THe church was reformed in Vatican II. Extremism in Christianity is dead. Middle Eastern Muslims are stuck in the days of the crusades. Hello wake up before you get smacked the f#ck up.

We don't threaten to blow up someone or kill them if they show us in a bad light. Moslems do and we are tired of it. The pope classifies the moslem religion as violent in doctrine, which it is, and the moslem community threaten to kill him if he doesn't apologize. We don't. We protest something that is false about Jesus, but we don't try to hold the whole world hostage by threats of terrorism if we don;t get our way. moslems do.
Also, when we protest, we are looked upon as 'kooks' and ignored by the newsmedia. moslems, unfortunately, are taken way too seriously.

the eyes don't roll because the muslims get offended...but because of the way they act like insane idiots when they get offended....
when a christian gets offended they don't hold riots and burn down things and kill nuns with a bullet in the back and they don't demand an apology like a child throwing a fit and throwing themselves on the floor kicking and screaming...

We Christians don't throw rocks through windows, nor do we burn stuff or kill people when we are upset. We don't threaten to kill anyone or offer a reward to those who do.
Usually the worst thing that an angry Christian will do is to write a nasty letter, or to peacefully walk around with a sign all day if he is upset.

Maybe if the Muslim response to offenses was as rational and non-violent as the typical christain response, the eyes would stop rolling.
Protesting WITHOUT riots, murders, death threats, and property damage, would be a refreshing response from this "religion of peace" ....Just a thought.

There are three types of Christians. The immature, the mature and the perfected. the first one does not understand the things the mature do and thus act childish, while the perfected are in Heaven, because that is where the mature are made in to perfection. Please do not "class" the immature with the mature. Its like saying that little league baseball is the same as the majors.
