Have you ever noticed that nearly all racist groups (the KKK, the neo-nazis, Aryan nations, etc.) are christians? They believe that one specific groups is intellectually and morally superior and will rule the country/world because they happen to have a certain colour of skin.
In the same way, christians who may not be racist still promote hate towards those who aren't. ("Yer goin' t'hell!") They believe they are intellectually and morally superior and will rule eternity/infinity because they happen to have a certain type of religion.
This does not infer that all christians who gleefully anticipate "armageddon" are racists, but a lot of them are (Falwell, Roberson, Dobson, Van Impe, Bush, Pope Nazinger, et al).
What's most similar is the mindset: "We're full of holiness from being shot with god's love, and you're full of holes from being shot by us."
Additional:
I don't know whether "Steven W" is misinformed or dishonest, but christ-stains who look forward to "armageddon" are NOT looking forward to an end of pain and suffering; rather, _they_, people like "Steven W", are looking forward to an eternity of pain and suffering for those that they deem "unholy" and "hell-bound".

I dont think that it is up to the so many to decide who goes where when they die. Who really knows if all those people who speculate on others fate are right or wrong. Try not to get caught up in others judgmental mindsets. Only God knows who. Maybe so many people are not going to hell. I have a strong christian faith and I know that Jesus whole time spent on earth was trying to help people avoid that . Who are they to judge is m whole point I guess without rambling too much.

No one is going to hell just because they are not Christian. Jesus made that point clear when he said he did not come for the righteous. Non-Christians who live a decent respectful life and abide by the law written on their hearts would more than likely be going to heaven ahead of someone who professes to be Christian and judges everyone.

Because they said no to God's forgiveness!
Everyone deserves to go to hell (including me) because of there sin! But God sent his only Son to die on the cross (and rose to life on the
third day) so whoever accepts him into his life, they are forgiven from all the sins they have committed (so they go to heaven as a forgiven person, not as a good person). But if you don't accept him into your life, how can you be forgiven from all your sins?
Not all Christians look forward to end of the world, I have a friend who is a christian but he doesn't look forward to the end of the world because he is concern about his family and friends!
I look forward to the end of the world because I can't wait to be with God. But I too am concern about my family and friends!
That's why I preach about the good news of Jesus!

It's things like that.....expecting negativity....that has made me turn back to my Buddhist roots. My family is Buddhist, but we never went to church or anything. Buddhism is a way of thinking...a way of life...
I agree with you....religions shouldn't concentrate on the bad and painful things that will happen if you do or don't do something.
You are doing well to believe in what you believe in....and realizing that God, or whatever higher power anyone believes in, can come to each individual in different ways.

During New years eve 1999 - 2000 people thought there waas going to be trouble with computers and planes were going to fall out of the air and that everything was going to stop.
Everyone was relived when January 1 2000 rolled around and everything was going right as normal.
So don't worry everything will be fine ;-)

We look forward to the end of this system of things and the destruction of all wickedness and the glorious new system of things and righteousness in all the earth. If people are destroyed it is on their own heads as God has given more than enough time for people to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their savior that God provided as a means of forgiveness. If people do not believe it is their own fault, not ours or God's. God cannot allow wickedness to remain to mess things up again. People are not going to a fiery hell, God is just going to put them out of existance forever, a loving thing to do for the wicked.

i imagine that became because those those who were shouting doomsday were all God fearing Christians who lived life devoid of sin and easily followed the note of God by skill of no longer fornicating with their fellow adult adult males & legalizing their marriage. They were the followers of Fox information, and also you recognize why you do not hear from them anymore? because they were given stuck up contained in the Rapture and characteristic all lengthy previous to Heaven. yet CNN & MSNBC opt for to disclaim the life of God so as that they not in any respect coated that tale. the folk you theory were republicans are extremely lizard human beings from the planet X. yet I digress. You were asking about the top of the international. you pretty a lot sound disillusioned.
