If you are intending to marry her, then you have three options:
- K-1 Fiancee' Visa
- K-3 Spouse/Family Visa
- Business, Work, Travel or Student Visa
On paper, a travel visa is the fastest way to get her here. However, that will be almost impossible for her to obtain. the U.S. consulate in Vietnam hardly ever approves a travel visa for a female under the age of 60, because they fear she may try to immigrate to the U.S. by marrying while here (which she is). Business, work and student visas are just as difficult, because of the same issues.
If you are able to get her here with, let's say, a business visa. INS will make a big stink about it, and cause delays in obtaining temporary residency or a green card. She won't be able to return to the U.S. if she leaves the country without such.
The K-1 Visa is the fastest way to get her here without pissing off the INS. This could take about 6-9 months. You will need to show proof of meeting her and proof of your relationship. The proof that the consulate is looking for is ridiculous, because INS is trying to stop mail-order-brides from immigrating to America by marriage. the consulate in Vietnam had locked down on approving K-1 visas until recently, due to abuse of the system. You need to marry her within 90 days of arriving. She will have a temporary residency, and can apply for a green card after you've been married for two years.
The longest, but pretty much guaranteed way to get her here is the K-3 Visa. You will have to marry her in Vietnam, and apply for the visa afterwards. You will still need to prove your relationship. It will take longer over all than the K-1 visa. However, your girl will receive her green card the moment she steps on U.S. soil if you do it right. This could take a year to go through, but you're done with INS issues until she qualifies for citizenship.
My advice is to get a good immigration attorney or agency that works specifically with Vietnam. What actually happens and what INS states on their Web site can be entirely different.
Good luck to you and your girl!

You could go over there and marry her, then start the process with the American Embassy over there. But your ID tells me you're not the marrying kind.
