but the original first written bible was translated into three different languages, from those three languages it was then translated into english. All of those translations were made by fallible human beings who could have changed and or added anything they wanted to. So in reality don't you really have faith in a translators written word?

and fireball... isn't true that the scholars you speak of are human? and being human can they not be fallible?
or are you again putting your faith in the scholars that are fallible?

not only is it likely that mistakes were made often the mistakes were made due to personal agendas. Today there are Bibles that differ some in certain areas in accordance with certain preferances of the way the translators leaned in one direction or another. One wants to see God as only loving and not judger of deeds and rewarder to those who do good things at say great risk. Another wants people to act a certain way and the part of the judge is emphasized in order that behavior be controled more tightly. This has been true from the beginning. Paul confronted Peter for camping out with a group he knew to be peddling Jewish messages that were profitable to the jews.
So now you should be asking yourself how do I know this and since I do why do I know God is there in the pages of the Bible today.
The reason is this there have always been people like me and we have been constant since God is our friend and He shows us things and we the ones set aside (the remnant) have always made ourselves known and those who would trifle with the word of God know we have always been here and when things which are obviously provable in error they get exposed so those who would trample on the word know they can only tweek it here and there. These tweeks can be spotted and explained correctly by those willing to go back to the original writting which have not only been preserved from as early as about 150 AD to 250 AD but have been copied published and circulated.. We all work together and show these errors.
I spotted one in the NASB in Gen> where it says Eve ate and gave some to---and then it says her husband--- now this is an obvious flaw it should be the man with her and so I passed it on to others. As can easily be seen there was an agenda here with regards to the truth about marriage.
The other great and continueing force besides we the remnant is, that those who wish to misrepresent the word are in more than one camp and they oppose each other so they point out errors the others make.
In the end we have a work which very closely approximates the original teachings. There have always been prophets who spot the wrong and expose it, and there are always gifted teachers who teach the undiluted truth and you are perhaps correct in not trusting a quote from someone you know not, that is why you should read the work for yourself, and I recommend in more than one translation, and when they disagree then understand in there somewhere is a completely comprehesive script that fits together like a hand in a glove and when you find there you have a treasure no one can steal from you, that will not rust or mold

That's very true. You have to research the time period that the words were written in order to get an idea of what the message is. You can still glean the message from what is written and there are other documents that confirm the writings. There is a lot of recorded documentation to back it up. It's not rocket science to figure it out.

There are over 20,000 ancient manuscripts of the New Testament. I'm not worried about accuracy. And translation? Do you know what that is? Greek to English? I have a Greek New Testament on my shelf.

I hang on every word that was written in the Bible. It is my favorite book in the world. Perhaps you need to read it, because it is a book for eveything we are doing wrong, and How To Do Right, to live right, and to BE right, before God.

They have found the dead sea scrolls and other writings that prove that the translated words are very accurate.
