Are you taking your date to the gym? Oh, wait, for a walk around the park to actually use the equipment there, right? No, better yet, at a basketball game you are playing in? Hold up, maybe tennis, where she can actually be involved?
Fella, there is no quicker way to end a date. If she went to the trouble to dress up for you (and yes, even jeans and a tank top count because she spent half the week deciding on that) and you act like some territorial cave man trying to show off your muscles, she will not be likely to take you up on the offer of a second date.

Why the bloody hell would you WANT to do push-ups or sit-ups on a date? What the hell are you talking about?

I think it is a wonderful idea. Then when you look up and see her running away from you you will know the date was a success. Now I know where the expression muscle head comes from.

uh, hello? it's called a "date", not a workout session. What's the point of going out with him or her if you're not going to give each other attention? pass on the sit-ups till the weekday.

If the date is going well maybe you should save your energy for later. What do you think?

No, it's as disrespectful as chatting on your cellphone while on a date.

But if you were at a gym and he/she were spotting you, I guess that's a different story.

Where did you and your date go? The gym?

What? Yeah, i think this might depend on where you are? At anywhere other than a gym (which would be an odd date) no. way. in. hell.
