Anyone who is willing to debate religion is dogmatic. Dogmatic is "characterized by assertion of unproved or unprovable principles". As much as people do not want to admit it, there is no *real* proof for the existence of God. You can say that the pope is dogmatic, but that doesn't mean he's a bad person. Similarly, you can say that your local pasture is dogmatic. I think that the pope is a very dedicated and humble man. He is worthy of respect by Protestants and Catholics alike. He is a man of God, and has given up a great deal for what he believes is the truth. If you do that, I will respect you too.

The Pope is a wonderful Christian. If you did not know, he is Catholic. I am guessing that you claim to be a Christian because you specified "Catholic" instead of just "Christian."
I am disgusted that anyone can put so much energy and hate into hating another of God's Creation, let alone another Brother in Christ. Jesus didn't die so you could hate your brothers, he died so your sins could be forgiven, and so the Pope's could be forgiven. Who then are you not to forgive?
Jesus ate with Prostitutes. Do you think that you are so much better than Jesus that not even the Pope deserves your respect? that would be Blasphemous.
I do not agree with everything that the Vatican claims, but i do agree with the Bible and I love those who also love Jesus. If you make even your brothers into enemies, then who will be your friend? If the Bible says "Love your enemies," then how much more should we love our brothers?

In the Catholic faith, we believe that the Pope knows only what God wants him to know. God send His Holy Spirit to the Pope and reveals things to him as to whether it's truth or blasphemy. The pope will never add something new to the church. If a statement is new then it's not true. If it's true, then it's not new. God has told us the Truth about His plan for salvation. We just have found it all yet. As His Holy Spirit reveals more of His plan to the pope, the pope tells the rest of us. Jesus was the one who appointed Peter as the head of His church. Peter became the first pope. Jesus had the Holy Spirit decend onto Peter and the other disciples on the Day of Pentecost. From that day forward, the Holy Spirit allows the popes to tell us truths of God and only truths of God. Other things that the popes talk about that aren't in regard to God, may be false due to humanness and error. The Holy Spirit only deals with God's plan of salvation for us all. With this the pope is inspired by the Holy Spirit and is only allowed to speak truths.
You can see this as a fact when you read the history of the Catholic Church and the early fathers and the history of the popes. In all the teachings (encyclicals) written by popes, none of them teach falsehoods about God. They all are within the scriptures of the Holy Bible and without error. It's other things that popes have done that are with error that many people today refer to. These errors have nothing to do with God's plan of salvation. Study the history of the Catholic Church and you will see that I am right in stating this. I don't believe this just because a pope said so or because a priest told me so. I have read 15 books about popes and being infallible and read the bible over and over and read 4 encyclicals (just started this year) and have found out that everything a pope has said is in accordance with the Holy Scriptures.

The Pope is the preeminent, dogmatic, know-it-all Catholic.
He's a brilliant guy. You should pay attention to what he teaches.
God can "fire" the Pope anytime he chooses, but nobody else can.
God set it up that way.

No, I don't think he is.
But this question is worded in such a biased way that I have a hard time believing that you'll really take to heart any well-thought-out answers.

No just another man who made the discovery of a lifetime.
God's Gospel:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10

Yes. (Sarcastic)
The pope is not divine, and there is nothing in the bible that gives any foundation to the Vatican as being holy; on the contrary it states God will pour his wrath upon it.
