At the reception, probably both correct earlier than dinner or because the meal is drawing to a near. I believe speeches on the finish of dinner are bigger, since then you definitely don't seem to be confronted with an viewers of hungry visitors. You must coordinate with the satisfactory guy and any one else giving a toast to make a decision who is going first, and whilst. As for subjects, it relies on your courting with the bride and the couple. You could inform a humorous tale approximately you and the bride, or percentage a fond reminiscence. You can learn a poem or a quote that matches the party.

No speech!

Truthfully, in the old days, the father of the bride would welcome everyone. The priest would say grace before the meal, and the Best Man would provide a short toast. That's it.

Now you go to weddings, and you stand as the B&G enter the room, & you reamain standing throughout the 1st Dances, (3 of them) then the 2 Father's Speeches, The BM's speech, the MoH's speech. It's crazy , Your standing for 30-45min.

It's not right.

A toast speech must be very short, and just refer to something funny about them both or your experience with them , for example that now you can have your favorite room which your sister had and you always wanted it, or how nice and quite the family will get along, or how glade you are that now you are the one at last, and joke about it.

Wow find about 10 things your sister has done for you in the last 10 years that made you proud to have her around and, write it in a lovely way saying your glad to see her happy, as she has made you in those times. And wish her well and luck, and tell her you love her.

"I'd like to thank (name here) for being the best sister I could ever have. And I'll miss you even more if I can have your room!"

"Do you remember the time mom and dad were away and you got so drunk......ah, never mind....you were too drunk and still deny what the police said...."

"And when the time comes and you're in need of a babysitter: feel free to call me.....I'll help find you one".

"Cheers to many happy years ahead!"

I hope it lasts...

Just talk about your sister, your relationship with her, add some anecdotes, talk about how she met her husband, anecdotes she may have told you about him, how you know they belong together, etc. Make it funny, the funny toasts are the most enjoyable ones.

not too long enough to bore the audience; should be honest & sincere; best of all, the speech should be able to at least make the bride tearry eyed.
