To unhide all hidden folders, open up a folder like my documents then click on tools and click on folder options. Now click view and look for hidden files and folders. Click show hidden files and folders. Now all hidden folders will appear.

You can set the Search to search for hidden files. If you find it and want to view it, open any folder. At the top click Tools, Folder options, View, and scroll down and put a check in front of Show hidden files and folders. Click OK.

You will find an option to view hidden files under system Tasks, on left side of the page. Also in Search, you can choose to search hidden files. Its safe to view it.

For real folder security go to http://www.everstrike.com/ and purchase (24.95$) LockFolder XP program. It is really secure, it hides your folders or files of your choice and noone else but you view and open them unless someone learns your LockFolder XP program password.

Peace.
