The first answer has good
recommendations-there are many OTC anti-fungal
sprays/creams to help-but it sounds like u might have a strain/sprain in the plantar-fascia ligament on the foot bottom? Try a snug shoe with a good arch support-does it feel better when u soak the foot and/or massage the bottom? If so thats PFS-
and may require a prosthethis from a Podiatrist (molded foot support)

.Athletes Foot is caused by a fungus. So, never wear the same pair of shoes 2 days in a row, allowing your shoes to completely dry inside. Before you put on your shoes, spray the inside with Lysol Spray. Go to a Health Food Store and get an herb called "Pau Darco" in capsules. It's an anti-fungal , anti-viral herb. It's very helpful

There are several over the counter remedies - tinactin and the like. If you go to the pharmacy they will point you in the right direction. You also want to wear white cotton socks and keep your feet as dry as possible in the interim. Be careful when you towel off too - the fungus can be spread if you go from your feet to other areas of your body.
Good luck!
