I think that it catches people who are lacking something in their lives. Life has a lot of sad parts. Some people turn to drinking or drugs when life gets rough, others turn to religion. They are all coping methods imo. Religion is the most dangerous of all though as it takes away the fear of death. People will do anything if they think they're going to live forever, including initiating armageddon.

Church is a gathering place to worship our God. It is a save haven for most. Take a good look, the roach motel is outside the church, these giants roach motels are lined with drugs, violence, poverty and famine. Help a poor roach out of the traps and bring them to a place of love and hope.

The church is becoming a place for people to worship with out someone calling them stupid and to be encouraged to live a life that is based on good behavior according to the will of God. What is wrong with people wanting to do good things for others and God? If that is "gullible" then what do you call people who are out to harm others for their own selfish desires, "smart"? If I or anyone wants to be in a place where people want to feed the poor and give encouragement in tough times and want to be thankful of what we do have and hope for things we don't, to be in a place where people gather and have "wishful thinking" for the world and the people in it, why is that "gullible"? I think that people who believe that life is meaningless, and that everything is an accident to be "gullible". Gullible that they gave in to there own depression.

Sounds like one roach got away. Millions of people love Jesus, no one loves a roach. Poor thing.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
