depends on what you want, but i can say with confidence that none of the 3 brands you mentioned are "the best". check out brands like:
Boston Acoustics
MB Quart
Kenwood Excelon
Pioneer Premier
Diamond Audio
Eclipse

Listen to all these brands, then tell me if you think the 3 you listed are even any good. lol. what you should start doing is stop listening to other people, and start listening to your ears. and if you listening to speakers in best buy or circut city, then for the love of god get out of the store.

Well RF is a good brand and alpine is a good brand as well but not the other one but i do believe that both of those brands are pretty expensive and you could get more for your money. you could go memphis (one of the best and for the money is excellent) and you could also go interfire (amps) are really good cheap prices and stable at all tempatures and will do better than those other brands any day. also remeber the key to a great system is the way you power it remeber there are dry cell batteries you can use that will give you enough voltage and amps to power your system correctly Kinetik is one good example. my best suggestion to you is if yo want bass and subs always get a class D amp that is 1ohm stable and you will be ok

well, u asked a question that u will always get a ton of different answers on. me personally have always used fosgate amps an never had any issues. i still have an old punch 45 from 91 that i use on 2 10's. i love alpine amps also. never been really big on their subs. basically as far as amps u want amps they are rated by true wattage. go to one of shops near you and have them show you what amps that are true wattage. alpine and fosgate have them but they also make sum crap that isn't, like some of their new amps. THE BEST WILL BE WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU!

im not going to get in that arguement cause i dont think any of those are worth the money for various reasons, not to say they arent good just they arnt worth the money(except alpines headunits but you can get same quality with better looks and similar price from pioneer) but i will say that you dont want to buy any of those brands for a whole system, you will get better results if you do some homework and mix and match, like the other guy said certain companies do headunits well and subs crappy others do amps good and something else crappy and so on so find out who makes the best of each componet that fits your price range and build a system like that, youll get more for your money and it will sound better

The best advice I can tell you is stick to name brand stuff. All the brands you have listed are all good solid performers. They all have their strong and week points. I would highly recommend you go to your local car audio shop. Someone with a trusted name in your area.Look for a shop that will listen to your specific needs and price range. Someone who will stand behind what they sell you and help you in case some goes wrong with your gear.

Rockford's amp blow out fast but not their subs....

Alpines is only good for their amps............

Precision power not too good...............

I've 2 "12"Rockford fosgate DVC subs than just shake house windows so that's why I prefer there subs........ My subs is about 3 years old but still deliver heavy amount of bass.
