I am 36 weeks pregnant and I posted earlier that I was having sharp little pains in my pelvic area and back pain. I was having braxton hicks that were 15 min. apart but they seem to have slown down. I had spotting a couple of days ago and my doc. told me that I was starting to soften and thin out. However, now Im not sure if Im leaking or not. It feels as if little air bubbles are coming out of my vagina. I check and it feels a little moist but nothing like its coming out everywhere. It feels a little wet though when the air bubbles come out. Im still hurting down there with the sharp pains and my back is still hurting. I havent noticed myself loosing a mucus plug yet..dont you have to lose that first before you leak? Anyway, any help would be appreciated. I am going to the doc. this week but I was wondering till then or if I should go to the hospital and have this checked out now.

Try putting on a mini-pad, lay down for 20 minutes, if when you get up the pad is wet....go to L+D and get checked out. As for the back/pelvic pain....TYLENOL extra strength is the drug of choice in pregnancy. At night you can take 1 or 2 tylenol PM's to help you relax and rest and get the sleep you need!

If I were you I would definatly go now and have yourself checked out. I don't recall women have Braxton Hicks contraction every 15 mins. That sounds to me like the beginning of labor. Good Luck and enjoy your new little one.

Your doc is right it is jusst ur pelvic stretching and ur body is getting ready for labor. I know I have 6 kids of my own. Just relax and if think u r leaking just tell ur doc and he could do a test to see if u r leaking. U'll know when ur in labor plus u should lose ur plug before u go into labor. When u go into u labor humans r like animals they cannot sit still. Be patient ok.

I was one week early and my water leaked. it felt like i was peeing a little at a time every time i got up. warm and watery.my mucus broke one week b4 exactly and that was mucusy.I would have that checked asap...they can take a sample and look under the microscope in the room to determine if it is amniotic fluid or not.its supposed to look like sharp Crystal edges like a snow flake. good luck.

Go have it checked out if you're worried - better safe than sorry, especially in this case. If you're really unsure, phone your doctor or phone the hospital (they should have a nurse-on-call to answer your questions).

I think you should go and have it checked out because you don't always know when you lose your plug. And your water maybe gonna break anytime.
Good luck to you

it kinda sounds like your water is leaking, you dont have to lose your plug first, although you may have lost it slowly over the last week or so and not noticed.i would go in and make sure your not in labor.

when it happens, you will know. don't be so impatient. I know 9 months is a long time, but it will happen. I remember that feeling of pokiness. It felt like the baby was trying to scratch its way out.
