Find your niche, whether it is the dream to play soccer, or weight-lifting, being a chef. Take it a little bit at a time and build up like steps to the ultimate level you want to achieve. Reward yourself for accomplishing those individual baby steps. Get a cheerleader, someone who is behind you and wants you to succeed almost as much as you do. It could be a parent, friend, or work-out partner. Keep a journal about your daily accomplishments in that particular area. Read it over at the end of the week. You will see your progress in black and white, and that alone will have the reward of building confidence in yourself.
I had trouble with public speaking. I joined a Toastmasters International Speaking club. At first, I didn't even want to introduce myself. Then I found I could manage that. Eventually I got to get up and do this exercise called table topics, where someone gives you a subject and you speak on it for 3 minutes. That isn't really very long, but seems like an eternity when you are new at it. I built up to a much longer speech, a 10 minute presentation and earned my pin for Competant Toastmaster. It took 9 speeches before that, and a year. And they said that was FAST!!
So don't sell yourself short, decide on what your goal (or goals) is, and plan out what you can do to get there. Finding that you can do that will break the ice and start you on your way! Best of luck!

Talk to your school counselor. You're 13. Try to seriously address this now or it will REALLY affect all of your relationships for the next 10-15 years. And remember...you are always good enough and if someone doesn't see that, then they don't deserve you.

talk to people more, participate more so people will recognize you, if you have projects to present, dont be afraid and just go up there, if you feel you're not good enough..? tell to youself..."who cares..? as long as you did it and you think its ok, all other opinions don't matter"
