Not really, but you should call your local depression line. It's free counseling and they will help you. Take Care :)

There are over the counter drugs for depression ... none that I know by name though. When it comes to mental illness ... it's not a wise idea to self medicate. Anti-depressant meds have a different effective on everyone. Some can make you even more depressed or suicidal. Unless you've been professionally diagnosed with some form of depression, I wouldn't suggest taking depression meds. If you're not sure of what's causing your sadness right now ... maybe confiding in a friend or a health care provider may reveal what's troubling you.

Figure out what is causing your depression. Depression is a symptom, not a cause.Talk to someone you can trust about how you feel, and what may be causing your depression.

Being depressed is not normal, and can be treated. No matter what anyone tells you, you can't just 'snap out of it'. There are many different treatments for depression, both medical and psychological. Also, there are anti-depressants that can help you to manage your depressions in the short and long run. Please, if you are depressed, make an appointment with a doctor, therapist, counsellor, clergyperson, and get treated.

You don't have to live like this.

St John's Wort or Valerian Root works and can be bought in chemists and health food shops.

Try to get more sleep as this can often cause depression, or increase it's effects and cut down on caffeine as this also affects moods and sleeping.

Lavender Oil works to help relax you (not to be taken internally ;))

Try destressing as well and let things that bother you go past without thinking too much on them.

Thats a lame way of asking. There are tons of drugs for being depressed, just dont get into the too addictive ones, they are trouble. You can VERY easily get anti-depressants from a doctor, everybody does that now, they give them to little kids, etc.. just say your depressed and it affects your everyday life. That or get a bad *** hobby.

God/religion is a crutch for the weak. Dont get sucked into that.

I know someone with manic depression, sometimes, all you need is someone to lavish care on you, anti-depressants work pretty well as well, you should be able to get them over the counter.

get them to get professional advice and be supportive. The pills the doctors hand out these days are no quick fix and the people get reliant on them. No matter how hard it is to get through as long as you have friends you will get through the other side.

Again, St. John's Wort. However, I would read about it before trying it.
