My son was born on the pill. They told us after she quit taking the pill, it might take a year or so to get pregnant. Yeah right! i am not complaining, but i definitely think it is possible.

That's how I got my little cutie! Although, I probably was not as good about taking it at the same time every day. I've known lots and lots of people that got pregnant while on the pill. It happens! Just make sure since you ARE having sex that you are prepared for the consequences that can come from it!!

Anytime you have unprotected sex you CAN get pregnant, even on the pill, the pill is NOT 100% effective and can be rendered even LESS effective than it is by certain variables. If you've been on it for 6 years you MUST have heard this from your doctor more than once...why weren't you listening?

Have you been on the same type of birth control pill the entire time?
Have you ever been off for any period of time?
The answer to your question is, yes, there is a SMALL chance of pregnancy but there IS that chance.

The only time you "guaranteed" won't get pregnant is when you practice abstinence. Anytime you have sex-protected or not, there's a chance to conceive.

Yep. It's not 100% effective, after all. Its effectiveness also goes down if you've been taking antibiotics or echinacea, or if you're overweight.
