Could it really be true?! Could this be why I feel bloated often and have been trying to lose the last 10 pregnancy pounds for four months?! My daughter is 7 months old, and I dropped all but ten in the first three months... before I got my second dose of Depo Provera! I keep increasing my exercise and tweaking my diet here and there. It's not even a diet, I just eat healthy natural foods!
I'm getting pretty depressed about this, should I go off this birth control even though I love everything else about it? Or is it my fault that I can't lose this weight?!

Oooh. Depo is the devil. Get off of it and try a new birth control. It's not you sweetie, it's the Depo shot causing the weight trouble.

sorry to tell you but almost all birth-control makes you gain weight. About getting off of it that's up too you. But the first month your off of it you will be extremely fertile. So make sure you take care. If you stay on it remember that in the long run it could make you having a second baby very difficult.

I was on it for 6 months and gained 20lbs. I also bled the last three months. Its not a good type of birth control..talk to your doc. about a pill or the patch..I know they are a lot more to keep up with but its soooo worth it!
