A walk through the flea markets down at the harbour front is always a good time, as well a trip out to Centre Island by ferry is beautiful, especially this time of year with the leaves starting to change.

I don't know how much it'll cost, but try taking the ferry to Toronto Island - it's a nice park area, bring a picnic lunch and something cheap like a badminton set (you might be able to get one at a dollar store...)

go shopping in Kensington Market just off of Spadina right off of China Town. Lots of used clothing shops, cheap international foods shops and lots of interesting people walking around.

have fun

kensington market is always interesting and has a lot of cool shops and cafes. Same with a stroll down queen st.

Most of the tourist attractions are pretty pricey. The ROM used to have a special where you could get in cheap in the evening, not sure if they still run that, but their website should have the info.

it's a little cool for the beach, but there are great bike/walking trails at ashbridges bay.

You can check out the local theatres (live) as many of them have "pay what you can" days. I've seen some fantastic shows at great little theatres like Tarragon for only $5. Or you can try community theatres like the Village Playhouse on Bloor in the High Park area.
