My 96 Ford Thunderbird was stolen and recovered, the ignition was tore out. What is the easiest and least expensive way to replace the ignition?

# 1 Look Up Under The Plastic Case For Some Screws Take Them Out
# You may Need A Star Screw Bit Undo The Ignition Cable Then Pop The Ignition Out & Replace It
If On The Dash
#1 Undo The Ignition Cable
# 2 There,s A ring On The Ignition Turn it left The old ignition will come out from the back & make sure you don,t undo your heater hose

Get one from a wrecking yard and have it installed.

Our newspaper here has ads under the classified section under auto repair that just do column repair like you need. They may even have an ignition switch and parts you need.

Hit the pick n pulls and get all the parts, maybe take some pictures, write some notes so you can install it all when you get home.
