Do you feel it, and if you do does it bother you, when your lady uses a diaphragm or a contraceptive sponge? I am looking for a new form of birth control and wonder if it interferes with your pleasure or otherwise bothers you...or her. Thanks!

P.S. I can't take the Pill, it makes me very ill & he is very well endowed, that's why I was wondering if it would bother him

My wife used to use a diaphragm, we called it the love taco - just look at it! Anyway, it never inteferred or got in the way. It was an ok way to go, but not 100% effective.

i didnt think the sponge was made anymore, i thought it was pulled off the market because women were leaving it in too long and dying from some sort of poisoning. ive personally never had a woman use a diaphragm with me, its usually a rubber or shes on the pill/shot.

If it didn't work well, they wouldn't be so well-known. :)
I've heard that the pill is the most effective form of birth control, though. Assuming you have the discipline to take it every day. (And even if you miss a day, you can take two the next day.)
Actually, two simulatenous forms of birth control is a great idea. Sometimes 99% just isn't enough. ;)

The sponge has too many chemicals and makes your tally sting...really. Plus makes you taste like a prescription. Can feel the diapraghm sometimes but its ok, sort of little wake up call sometimes. Be careful with IUD, sometimes you can feel the little fish line poke you, especially with her on top. tubes tied are the BEST!

If you choose to use one of these methods, please remember that they do NOT protect against STD's. There is also a higher rate of pregnancy with use of a diaphragm or contraceptive sponge. If you do choose to use it, use it with a spermacidal lubricant. I know this isn't the type of answer you're looking for, but please be careful.

Getting the vasectomy is the way to go! It has a .85% fail rate, compared to 1.85% fail rate for tubal cutting/IUD and don't even get me started about the HIGH fail rate of the "pill" which has not changed much since the 1960's
