its really ez for me... do u think it would be ok to skip ahead in the lessons w/o asking my teacher first?.... my next lesson is this thursday.... i am soo EXCITEDD.. but i already got evrrything down....help?

why not? i think if you can handle it then go ahead and take a stab at the new material. don't get too used to practicing it though just in case there are some elements that you're not sure of. if you practice something wrong it makes it very hard to correct later. but your enthusiasm is wonderful. keep checking back and let us know how you're doing.

Reading the notes is the easy part. Remembering the fingerings will get more difficult with time. Doing the theory ahead certainly won't hurt but you don't want to learn to play a piece wrong and do it that way repeatedly and younger students have a tendency to do that. Have 3 who studied the piano and had lessons myself.

You might just call your teacher and ask without waiting til Thursday. It'll probably be fine and he or she may offer some advice about how far you should go.

go ahead and try and enjoy it the piano is great your teacher will be surprised and realize she has a student that likes what she is learning

I think you should take your time and not skip ahead. But if you feel your ready then go ahead.
