Identify any stresses or triggers in the environment that trigger your mood swings. Once IDed, avoid them. You might just have a need to talk to someone, so call a friend each day or something, if really necessary call a helpline. Bipolar might be a bit of a far reach, but possible. Don't consider yourself bipolar till you have eliminated all possible options. Talk to your regular doctor about this and see what he has to say-meds really shouldn't be your first step, I would say try therapy first and keep meds as your last resort.

Sounds like bi-polar disorder, or manic depressive as they used to call it. During your manic phase, you're happy, even going to the edge for that "high".. then you crash.. going into your depressed phase. Either can last anywhere from a day to weeks, to months. Call your mental health agency for a complete evaluation. If you have an Employee Assistance Program on your job, use it. They're great!! There are numerous prescription medications available your doctor can prescribe, such as Wellbutrin, Paxil, Zoloft, Celexa, etc. Over the counter herbal remedies include St Johns Wort. Aromatherapy is another consideration as a supplement. Lavender has a calming effect on some people. First & foremost, please call your local mental health agency for their assistance.

Get help. If money is tight, see if there is a community mental health service in your area. It might not be free but it could be reasonable. The best thing to deal with what you describe is a combination of meds and therapy.

You sound to be bipolar like me. I see a Dr who prescribes meds for the condition. The meds really help me most of the time. Just get to a Dr and best of luck to you!

Go see a doctor. If you don't want to, find out what's stressing you out and quit doing it or get away from it. Worked for me. Pills just make you feel better, they don't fix the problem.
