No, I haven't brewed tea outside of the bag. It makes it taste all yuck at the bottom. D:

It's natural color from the leaf. It gets darker the longer you leave the tea in water. If you want weak tea just leave it in a very little while if you want strong tea leave it in a long time. Tea will stain too, your teeth, the counter top, clothes....you can even dye Easter eggs with strong tea water.

There's no reason for dye. Even all natural teas change the color of the water.

No that is the real natural color of the tea. Almost all plants have color..the early Dyes were made from plants & some still are.
