After your workout and in between. You just ripped your muscles, it needs all the support it can get to repair it. You can mix creatine with your protein shakes. Just make sure you work out enough to benefit form the creatine. If you do not work out enough, ample protein shakes and creatine will only make you gain fat weight.

I am assuming that you are looking for growth. I prefer my protein shake right after a workout. That will help with recovery. Creatine can be effectively mixed with the protein shake. I would also advise L-Glutamine. It greatly enhances muscle recovery, and it is not that expensive.

I would not suggest more than 40 g. of protein at a time. Your body cannot process that much protein. Spread out your protein consumption over several meals.

I've found it is best to have your protein shake after a good workout. I'd also mix it with fresh banana and my creatine in vanilla flavor....hope this helps you...;)

Drink the shake within 20mins after working out. Drink the creatine 1-1/2hrs before working out. Keep hydrated the whole time.
