Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
And what are u made of,,, is it not dirt? His spitting in his hand, was like the fountain of living water flowing in dirt, for dirt.

Maguyver7 is correct. He was showing that He is God by forming the man-born-blind's eyes from the dust of the earth. He was not just healing eyes that were not working properly - he was fashioning eyes where there were none.

John 9:1-7
Then He spit on the ground, made mud with the saliva, and smoothed the mud over the blind man’s eyes. He told him, “Go and wash in the pool of Siloam” (Siloam means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came back seeing!
is this what you mean?
