Is there any easy way to copy the codecs from one machine to another? Otherwise, where can I find a comprehsive list of AVI codecs that I can download and install?

No. You cannot copy over codecs. You will have to download them. I suggest that you download the Ace Mega Codec Pack. This package is full of codecs from 3xvid to divx. Also from avi to ogg. Go to the following site:

Yes, you can do that. it'll work. If you use Real One player and try to play a video that needs a Codec, it will automaticly tell you and let you download a package of them. real Player is free too... Or just look up Codecs online and you'll find a place right away.

hmm....if you wanna get all the codecs download the k-lite mega pack from http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/, also real player sucks, i heard it from somewhere
