I was still real angry but ready to let it go until this past week I got a letter informing me that some nurse over my case who worked with my Dr. closely said I should have seen one of the Dr. on call. the doctors I used to go to they did me- like they did some other people hicked me out of their office! all of their offices- at the time I cryed for two weeks The Dr. I saw was not the one to inform me of this desision(they got several big office buildengs and think that when they go to the bathroom they don't stink)! I have another Dr. now and I am satisfied! The local hospital I live in N.C. can't even get it right who my Dr. is even though I have been for test several times that the Doctor I now have ordered(as I have been sick all summer long with the shingles!!! Very painful earlier I had mentioned about the so called EM room doctor yelling at me and calling me a liar-now they send me a form to fill out offering me a 25.00 gift certificate TOP 100 hosp.should be nice!-NO T

my doctor had been trying for a while to find out what was wrong with me . he did all he could do to help. the1st Emergency Doctor was very nice and kind and diganoised me with the shingles. i made an appointment with my doctor for a week later again on weekend -ran out of pain med. and had to go back the next time another dr. called me a liar and said I did not have shingles In fact he yelled at me and my body and nervious symtem going through hell. then the 25.00 offer which was an insult! i wanted the second dr. to say he was sorry for the way he treated me. I got meds. and my dr, is still treating me! then I recieved a letter saying I shiould have not even gone to the EMR when sick a person they don't needed to be treated like crap! So I guess I am real mad and I hope they just leave me alone, I may still talk to the hospital D. about this? i am still mad as hell and hope I don't ever see that so call 2nd Dr. again! Sorry -hope none of you ever get the shingles -Dr. #2

Can't understand most of this, but from what I can make out sounds like you were definitely treated unfairly. I think I would lodge a formal complaint against the doctor as well as the hospital where I was seen in the emergency room. Unfortunately now days it seems like the doctors and hospitals want you to diagnose yourself. ( I just went through a lengthy illness myself-lost 22 lbs in the process) then they act like their time is so valuable, and yours means nothing at all. I have pretty much lost faith in the medical profession in North Carolina. I have watched my mother stay sick repeatedly, and even go into the hospital for weeks at a time only for the doctors to say they find nothing wrong. Good luck, I would find another doctor and hospital!

Your story is sort of confusing to me and hard to understand because I can't qiute figure out what exactly your complaint is, the Doctor, the Nurse or the fact that you had shingles, and yes shingles are very painful My grandmother had them on her forehead and the nerve pain never did go away. Is this all over the fact that the ER doctor didn't accurately diagnose you on your initial visit? Can you make your question more clear.
