No, you should stick with it. Face it that it is harder than 6th grade and you will need to work harder. Get used to it...high school is even harder. Hopefully the teacher will cut out the yelling if he sees that you changed your attitude and started to put in some effort. If not, then go to the guidance office to complain.

Well, have you been acting out and mouthing him off? I mean, some teachers just don't like certain things students do (especially "maturing" Jr high-schoolers).....
OR

NO! The mature (and obvious) thing to do is ask all your teachers how to bring your grades up. Do A TON of extra credit, and work harder! Look, running to the counselor won't help! Never back down or run away from those things! They will always get better.☺

Seventh grade should not be any harder for you than Sixth grade was since you are maturing and learning. It sounds like your teacher has it in for you. He might be defensive since many kids start getting mouthy around jr. high and it seems your teacher is trying to use you as an example. If he's getting out of hand you should definitely see a counselor or talk to the principal.

Sounds like your teacher has a problem. Give yourself time to adjust to a new school. Junior High is HARD and a huge adjustment. Don't worry about your grades right now. Do the best you can, work hard, and try to understand that junior high teachers are REALLY UP TIGHT and always agitated. Be angelic and work hard. Don't worry about anything else.

Middle school can be hard. I wouldn't worry too much about the grades, just spend more time studying and doing your homework. Study groups with friends can be really helpful and great way to mix fun with schoolwork. Also, ask your parents for help with your school work...they went through it once too. I'd talk to your parents about the teacher too, they can either talk to him or help you figure out what to do to solve the problem.
