actually religions shouldnt be blamed -- it is the followers of the religion that need to be judged. or is it that we have forgotten that we have no right to judge others unless we let them judge us. guess many people have forgotten -- live and let live.

Christianity was responsible for the Inquisition, all of the Crusades, the Holocaust (the Pope did sponsor it), the Salem Witch Trials, countless burnings/drownings, etc of innocent people accused of Witchcraft in medieval Europe. Then you have the various cults using Christianity as a guise to kill off their gullible members. Just to name a few.
Not sure if it would qualify but there is the one Baptist church in Kansas (I think it is?) in which all the members are of the same family and the female leader was on CNN not long ago defending her psychotic beliefs which in her mind gives her authority over God and the nation at large becasue she feels she is better than the soldiers on either side in the Middle East, even though it was never a religious war to begin with until various people made it that way.

I wouldn't say that any religion is the "worst" religion. What people have done with the religions to minipulate poeple and start wars is what is wrong. I would say the Christianity has been the "worst" in the catagory of being used to harm people. Since the dawn of Christianity people have been starting wars over it (the Crusades [and before that] to WWII and maybe even "The War on Terror").
Now that I just read a more recent post, I HAVE to respond:
THE BIBLE HAS TONS OF VIOLENCE IN IT! Look at the Old Testament which talks about how to stone people! Adn to make a statement that Muslims in general want to kill gay people is ignorant as hell!

Psychiatry of course. Physe means the human soul, spirit, or mind. But Psychiatry denies the soul. Is a study that is totally flaw and is based in personal opinion. They try to convince people that there is no soul that their behavior is totally based on chemical imbalances. Psychiatry was created by the Germans and Russians to control people. Not long ago the practices of electro shock and lobotomies were common practice to control people. Now we live in a culture that is run on the absurd believe that there is no soul and that people are dangerous and need to be medicated to be controlled. All drugs legal or in legal make you lose control of your self and make you more controllable. The reason people fall in drug addiction and alcoholism is because they are self medicating. People with out souls or region are easier to control. That's why the Russians abolished religion and used Psychiatry to control their population.
The downfall of American morals and rise of crime and drug adition started with the introduction of Psychiatry.
Religion is where you find the answer of who you are and what is your purpose. Psychiatry explains these questions in their materialistic point of view. Psychiatry is a type of religion.

It's a toss-up between Christianity and whatever religion the Mongols had in the 15th Century - - - if they hadn't invaded from the East, the 'rat on everyone to survive'-mentality would never have gotten a foothold in the areas that were recently parts of the territory of the USSR.

Radicals and bigots that do their own will rather than God's...
bellonging to any religion...
Plus there are just some religions that are simply intollerant to begin with... take the early form of Islam..... which is similar in nature to Radical Islam of today.
there is a faction of Islam that is peaceful.... most of these live in America and have a different version of the Qur'an than the less tollerent Middle Eastern one.
the Midevel Catholics were pretty bad... they did a lot of evil... but this was the result of Christianity straying from the word of God into the words of hypocrite church leaders.
But the modern Catholics are different from past times...
but I have to say that Islam is the most sensitive and in many cases violent...
(Reaction to the cartoons and the Pope for example)
But you can't stereotype.... there are a many a peaceful Muslim
But just as you can't stereotype you also can't ignore the facts either... even if they are politically incorect.

Good question I have lived all around the world and met many different religions, but I could say definitely Koran and that is due to the fact that they think by killing themselves in suicide bombings will take them to heaven. Please read the bible the true version if you have not, as there is nothing in the bible says kill others for God, nothing in the bible says if you convert others to christian you will enter heaven. The bible teaches the good word and wisdom. Please read the Ten Commandments it belongs to Christianity and not any other religion. Furthermore, among the ten commandments it states DO NOT KILL. Now, which part of that word is not understandable by suicide bombers. Very simple the ignorant ones who are brainwashed. I hope this helps.
This is not an attack on Muslims, but it is the truth about their religion. I apologize if Usama bin Laden sent a wrong message to this world because he did nothing but bring disgrace to his religion. Therefore, I have no respect to the fact that he kills to go to heaven. I also, have no respect to any human who kills others. Be it Christians, Jews or even Buddha. No one has the right to take another humans life, as it is given by God and shall be taken by God.
