I am trying to hang Halloween lights on my front porch area, which is hardi plank. I've tried screws, staples, and wire tacks...all don't seem to work.

Drill it, and put in little stainless hooks. They'll stay usable for years to come.

Dogzilla hit the nail on the head, so to speak. you might have to use a masonry bit to drill thru the hardiplank though. have a safe and happy halloween. it's my birthday 10 31 BOO!

Drywall screws should do (you might want to use them to hold the hooks)
