It only comes in 4 door for now. However they are talking about making a Dodge Challenger. It will be a 2 door "retro" style with a 5.7L Hemi and more than likely they will come out with a SRT Model with the 6.1L Hemi.

They have talked about it and the original concept car was 2 door, and Compressed natural gas, and super charged, so as they have done none of this for the production model what do you expect.
Although they have shown great potential to actually listening to what we as consumers have said about the Charger and wanting a 2 door. Maybe they will do it once they get the new Challenger in late 2007 / Early 2008. Once this car is out it could be possible to retool or change some panels and nose / tail items. But in my opinion the Challenger looks better anyway!
Try here to see what you think: http://www.dodge.com/en/challenger/index.html

I'd put my 4 door Charger against a 2 door Mustang any day. You know, the extra doors don't really slow the car down, they just make it SoOoOoOoOoO much more practical and convenient. When all of the complainers grow up, they'll figure out that 4 doors are better than 2 (unless you have no friends, and live with your mom, so she can bring home the groceries.)

It is only offered in a 4 dr but soon the challenger will be coming out and that will have 2 drs. The reason they put 4 drs on the charger is because dodge needed a family car. You have to have 4drs to do that. But if you like the charger you will like the Challenger.

Chrysler cheaped out when they produced the new charger from the concept. They went with the 300 platform to save from re-tooling. The Challenger being introduced in the next few years hopefully will keep it's two door prototype image unless Chrysler cheaps out again.

Not yet. They are currently in the process of releasing the Challenger, which will be available with the 5.7L Hemi and the 6.1L Hemi. A V6 is likely as well. look for pricing to be competetive with Ford's Mustang.
