quote: blacks could not have been bought if they were not for sale.
why doesnt anyone blame their king that sold them??

The slaves were "kidnapped"/stolen from their native lands by slave traders who transported them to other countries, mostly the American south, and auctioned them off for money. There was no king that sold them. Some started as "indentured servants" who would work for a period of time and then be set free. Slaves were generally put to work as field workers (picking cotton) or house slaves, and strong men fetched the most money. Women were often forced to be concubines-Check the Thomas Jefferson scandal recently brought to light about his slave Sally Hemmens and possible children by her.

No apologising is pathetic gesture politics and a faux presentation of history. in spite of the undeniable fact which you're incorrect to critise the "black community" for additionally being intense of such apologies. in case you sense which you're laid low with racism and social depravation, then the final component you like is a collection of phoney do-gooders going around saying they're sorry for the lives of your historic ancestors. Why on earth might that make you sense extra desirable approximately something? maximum African-human beings do not desire to be conversing approximately slavery, for this reason they're aggravated. Justifiably so in my view. maximum could have slave vendors of their ancestry, how are they meant to sense approximately that? some argue that the enormous style of human beings dying in the slave commerce provides it particular historic importance. i think of that this importance has been overblown. As undesirable because it became, different factors of colonialism have been a ways worse and extra significant socially. working example lots extra community South human beings died from ailment, conflict and genocides than slaves died in the full history of the Atlantic slave commerce. Slavery would desire to in no way be presented as a racial subject the two. All races have been and proceed to have involvement in slavery. in actuality some freed black slaves, grew to become slave vendors in u.s. themselves. the concern in the U. S. is its racist history and racist latest not slavery. that would purely be cured via stable practise for all.

Yes. Many of us with slavery in our pasts are linked by blood to the slave families and do not realize it. We are all of mixed race and don't know it. I would be interested in finding my familys tree and following up on that.

the first thing you need to know about it is that the whites did not go to Africa and get blacks for slaves it was the Spanish that did it and i wish every day that my ancestors had not purchased them and enslaved them it's not that i am sorry or any thing like that but then i would not have to listen to rap music and see them every day
