A WARRANTEE is an agreement with you (the buyer) and the store (the seller) that IF *something* goes wrong with the device that they (the seller) should accept the device as a returned item - BAR NONE.

A GUARANTEE is the seller's agreement with you that the unit DOES WORK - POINT BLANK.

From what I know,
Warantee says the work will be done until the part is fixed or replaced. If it is the same problem, as on a car, then you only have to pay like $50 the first time the problem occurs. he rest of the fees are covered. Or maybe its all free. My warranty ran out on car years ago.

The problems is, a lot (not all so I won't be held libel) of mechanics are a bunch either ill-knowledged, liars, or try to make you pay something. They will say its not the same problem so that you have to cough up another $50. Conviently, they can never fully fix the problem... until the warranty runs out. Then they so they know what the problem is, or that a Technical Service Bulletin (TSD) came out about the problem, (a TSD is different from a Recall). So unless you probably have a lawyer, you will have to pay full price for the solution that should have been covered under the warranty.

A guarantee, I think, gives you more happiness. If you don't like a product within a certain time-frame (depends on company, but somewhere between 72 hours and 30 days, also depending on the product (car vs. electronics or book). That you can return it, just because your not satisfied.

And BE WARY of dealers that sell you an extended warranty. Read the print, if it is a SERVICE CONTRACT, then you might as well use it to write your grocery list. They will say its the same thing; if they do then tell them to have the dealer or owner to sign on the document that this it is equivalent to and the same as a warranty. I got a dollar to donuts they won't do it. Reason: read a Service Contract sometime, it kinda promises they'll make an attempt at doing the work, but does not guarantee the work to solve the problem. But will try as many times as necessary if you complain enough to limp the car through the Service Contract, without ever fixing the problem. They don't have to, Read the contract.

Warrantee means only the parts can repaired and gurantee means if any defect the entire equipment has to be replaced.

Warrante means if you buy a product the shopkeeper promises you to repair the product free of cost during the warrantee period.
Gurantee means to replace the product if anything goes wrong in the product during the guarntee period.
Now a days no body gives any guarntee, they only give warranttee. i suppose you are clear.

Guarantee is the more general of the two words in meaning. It has the sense of assurance both as a noun and a verb.
Warranty is the actual written document that supports the assurance that something will be repaired or replaced without additional cost to the buyer.

A guarantee is a statement of workmanship and functionality of the product. In other words they guarantee it to work for a set time period under what they have written in the guarantee as normal operating conditions and use. (Read the fine print) or they will replace or repair at their discretion.

A warranty is an addition to the guarantee that also has a limited time period and in many cases costs extra to purchase for longer than one or two years. Warranties are generally for repair and or service of the item and don't necessarily include replacement as the guarantee dose.

Warranty: given only for goods (electronic/mechanical...) in which the manufacturer assures u that he will replace the defective components or the goods as a whole, if necessary. The manufacturer issues a certificate of warranty for a particular amount of period. Normally 12 months

Guarantee: When the manufacturer gives the assurence orally, thats without a written assurence, for their goods like the table or chair u buy.
