If I mocked someone, I should expect to be mocked in return. I find your question confusing. Who are the innocent? I don't see myself as the innocent so I'm not sure why you made that statement. Who is "them"?

i'm an agnostic, not an outright atheist, yet i think of atheists for sure have a criminal and ethical good to harm Christian emotions in the event that they like to. So i don't lots care approximately hurting Christian emotions. even nonetheless, I do think of it rather is oftentimes exceptionally stupid and unproductive to alienate great communities of human beings for no particular reason. Rightly or wrongly, there are 1000's and 1000's of Christians interior the U. S. and there are some thing like 2 billion Christians or diverse denominations international. whilst atheists make exciting of those human beings, are the atheists achieving something nicely worth doing? Or sometimes, are the atheists in simple terms sowing extra seeds of social and political branch interior of specific societies -- eg the united states of a -- the place we've sufficient social and political divisions already? Caveat: i'm thinking approximately politically innovative and socially tolerant Christians right here, not the severe rightwingers and fundamentalists who flock to conservative demagogues including Glenn Beck. i think of the politically innovative and socially tolerant Christians -- who in all likelihood are interior the minority -- have traditionally performed considerable roles interior the yankee peace stream, the yankee civil rights stream, even strikes striving to shield religious freedom and tolerance of unpopular minorities. whilst atheists -- for even though solid or undesirable mix of motives -- objective all Christians as a set, i think of you run the prospect of pushing the solid human beings in the direction of nearer collaboration with the bigots and the racists and the haters. i think of smart atheists & humanists would desire to prefer to keep away from that threat.

Good point. Generalizing is always wrong, and unfortunatelly it's also a human emotion. Everybody does it, to some point.
For me personally, I don't really care. Mock away, I have elephant's skin :)

If I can save one person from throwing their life down the religious toilet, then I accept whatever mocking comes with that burden.

Instead of wasting your time with a stupid post like that why don't you concentrate on answering legitimate questions when people ask you in a proper manner? You religious types are beyond belief.

Looking at the FSM vs. Christ issue, it's you gues that are most afraid of this give and take... because it reveals the lack of any proof that Christianity is based on.
