If the guy and the girl meet and they take it slow and then they realize they think they are the ones for each other, that they are meant to be, and he is willing to wait till she turns 18, do you think they are really in love? do you think they can make it?

I think it is possible. But it really depends on the people. I know that it can happen, because I have seen it happen before. When my uncle and aunt first met, he was 23 or 24 and she was 16. They talked and dated until she turned 18 and graduated from high school and then a few months later, they got married. And later on the had two kids and are still together.

Hey,

I'm a 27 year old guy,

It's possible but really unlikely, That't an 8 year spread.

For somebody who is young that's a lot.

Also be very careful, So he is willing to wiat until 18, WEll that's quite a while to wait for love and i think that rarely happens.

If you and him do something before your 18 it is a crime.

Contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor, A FELONY

I know two guys over the years who have gotten one of these. It's the definition of jailbate,

One guy i know did eight months in prison for this, He also had a clean record.

Anything is possible..I say if he is willing to wait till she is 18 then he must be feeling strongly about her, and any relationship no matter the age of the individuals envolved takes comprimise, loyalty, an trust, it takes work for anyone!! Just remember that!!

Quite possible, older guys love younger girls... :) But "love" is an emotional thing, he may totally love the girl at first and have all the best intentions, but as time goes on may not "wait for her" in the end...

Relationships are always *awesome* at first and people feel they can overcome anything, but time can sometimes be an enemy...

That said, nothing ventured, nothing gained... The girl just needs to be sure to be on birth control, as really, anything that's not a pregnancy is just potential heartache that will pass over time, risk is minimal and reward can be high. :)

A 16 year old girl needs to just be a girl. A 24 year old guy is too old and he probably has other stuff going on. Don't do this...

Sounds like both of you lack the maturity to understand what true love is about. If I were you I'd be worried about a guy that isn't relating to women closer to his own age. It's a major indication of a problem.

You may have "deep" feeling for this guy.... but it's not love.
(I can almost hear you say it is..... but love is not being attracted to a man that's running around with a 16 year old guy.... he'd scare you... not attract you).

24 years old dating a 16 year old...C'mon the guy whom ever is really not adjusting and allowing himself to drop lower in standards.

I'm 47 and I have had many opportunity to date younger girls, but there is thing called Morals and we must live with our decisions and mine was to keep to myself and honor my marriage.
I am one of many Men that can say, I am very very hard to pursuade to drop my class for childs play and I still maintain today a perfect Moral record. A real Man will not play with children....that's all she wrote!

Anything is possible I guess. 8 years isn't too much, but at your age I would say wait. I wouldn't even try to have the relationship until you are 18. I wouldn't risk having him thrown in jail.

No he probably only wants to have sex with u. And I doubt he would wait that long and its called petaphillia duh. So don't do this to yourself. I'm 16 and I like older guys too but I draw the line at 19.24 is just too old for me but good luck with a physco.
