ok look if ur gonna leave smart *** comments, dont comment!! Ive had this problem for a couple of years now and it really pisses me off. I went to my doctor and he prescribed me some nasal spray because i have nasal congestion and post nasal drip. It didnt work. So i got refered to an ENT, he said nothing is wrong its just the lining of my nose it gets inflamed, thats why i get the stuffy nose. He prescribed me flonase and also said for me to use a salin spray for my post nasl drip. OK back to the main problem, my breath is just bad. I always feel like somethin is on the back of my tounge, like a bad smell in the back of my mouth. I dont even need to talk and it stinks. I tried everything. I scraped my tongue, i used mouthwash, i floss, i used peroxide, therabreath, profresh,. I just need some other suggestions.

Floss, brush your teeth, scrape your tongue, rinse with a mouthwash of your choice. Avoid foods that make bad breath, like onions and garlic. If none of that helps, consult your doctor or dentist to see where the smell is coming from.

If you do a search on the internet using "bad breath" as your search term, you will find almost five MILLION references. Here's a good place to start:

The odors from garlic and onions enter your blood stream and then it takes a couple of DAYS before you breathe it all off. As you do this, you will continue to have bad breath. You can only use a mouthwash or breath mint (sugarless) as needed to mask the odor. I have read a lot of answers here saying to eat parsley to get rid of garlic breath, but I have no personal knowledge about that. Try it.

Bad breath comes from the stomach not from the mouth. The only time it comes from the mouth is when you first wake up, and you mouth is loaded with bacteria. Try "Breath Assure" capsules.

I was going to suggest therabreathe it worked for me when I had sinus drainage, tell your doctor because you shouldn't have that problem after all that.

It could be coming from INSIDE you. From your stomach. Check out this website for info on Halitosis. They list some treatment options.

Do you still have your tonsils? You could have what I like to call "tonsil turds." IF you have your tonsils, look at them with a flashlight..do you see any white spots/balls? Those are tonsil turds. And they smell like the grave.

I would go to another ENT and get another opinion.
